Never happened to me.
What banner type are you using, iframe? javascript? standard?
Maybe try all different types and see how you go.

i tried all the different types and contacted them after still having problems

they replied turn your popup blocker off , i went to my settings and it was already off ??

Not going to be a winning situation i think , i think most who know to , turn their blocker on to avoid crap popping up

Persevere Spacey.

Agreed the interface is idiosyncratic but take on board that it once was a nightmare and now it is only occasionally annoying. There are some very gooood merchants there that are worth chasing.

What they are trying to tell you is that the link is provided by way of a second popup window and if you do not keep an eye on your taskbar and tabbed windows then it can "hide" and look like nothing is happening. Try killing all your windows but one and then try for a link.

Remember to allow time (time to become available live) between creating the link and testing to see if it works.

They get to the landing page but you could edit the to make them more useful - do not know whether this affects tracking or not but the r parameter should be a random number.

change FROM
http://www.s2d6.com/x/?x=c&z=s&v=2504116&r=[RANDOM]&k=[NETWORKID]

change TO
http://www.s2d6.com/x/?x=c&z=s&v=2504116&r=99&k=thisismysourcepageindicator

(when they are referring to pop-up blockers, they are only meaning when you are actually creating the link - it does not affect how they work in production).

You could not afford me, Gav, but if you are really looking for someone, I know someone that I think might be interested.

change TO
http://www.s2d6.com/x/?x=c&z=s&v=2504116&r=99&k=thisismysourcepageindicator

thisismysourcepageindicator

is that an example or the exact wording , although if it affects tracking ???

but you could see them at your end ? because on my pc i cant see them

My popup blocker was off when i did the banner placement ?

I asked how a merchant knows which website is applying for each program , unlike clixgalore i could not see a drop down box that you use to nominate the actual website for each program

Example is i have two site suitable for insurance , but how does the affilaite know what site ?

I was told i can nominate which website but i couldn't see the link , and i asked but as yet have not heard back from them

I also had to delete a banner from carchannel because it was not constantly working , it is only their banners i have had this problem with

ok thanks

Yes the link I provided is the same that we use - on your site you have them encoded as & = & ------> now that may very well work but nobody here has ever actually tried it so instead I suggest you just use & instead of & for adding parameters.

The K parameter is for report use in tracking your sales - k=thisismysourcepageindicator is not meant to be literal, you can use any words you want here and these are the words you will see in your reports when you make a sale.

DGM is different to CG in that it is usually the DGM account manager that approves you onto a merchant program so as long as the account manager knows who you are, it really does not matter which website you intend to use. (You can have multiple accounts and manage them all from the same interface if you want to).

on your site you have them encoded as & = &, i hovered over a banner and i can see

&r= [random] &k=[networkid] where does & = &amp ??? sorry but now i am lost

I had concerns and inquired why the numbers were different in each banner , only to be told that each ad has a unique number , so basically i have just cut and pasted the appoved code into a site

was this wrong ?

now that may very well work but nobody here has ever actually tried it so instead I suggest you just use & instead of & for adding parameters.

So even if my banners are working i am not eveb getting any credit ????

Why is this system so f#%ked up ? any other affiliate program you just cut and paste the code , i'll try and take in what you are saying, to be honest i am still a bit lost with it all , as i have never had to do this process before to paste a banner

You should have stayed there , at least that way i would have got a straight answer , thanks heaps

Try this Spacey.
  1. Click "Easy Links" in the top menu bar.
  2. Select the campaign you want from the dropdown.
  3. Click "Get Link"
  4. Replace "&k=[NETWORKID]" with "&k=any_words_you_want_for_reporting_purposes"

This will give you a link that is more like what you are used to.
