Default New Australian Launch, need your input

Hi

Need some opinions and reviews on a program
that was introduced to me a week ago.

I will admit I reviewed it as much as I could and
couldn't seem to find a fault in it, I asked
lots of questions etc and decided to join.

It does not launch here until August so I really
wanted to get some other opinions before I begin
promoting it.

I suppose rather than make a long speel here if
I can just let you see a video that explains it
then you could post your opinion for me.

This is a page I have set up

The video can be viewed at
http://www.localadlinkoz.com/explain.html

Any comments appreciated

Thanks

I'm not going to sugar coat.

  • Get rid of the animated GIF. This isn't 1997. If you want animations, make it flash, make sure it's 24fps, and make damn sure it's the same filesize the GIF would have been.
  • The green colour is awful. Scrap it. Dark green if you insist on green.
  • MLM pushers should consider drinking phenobarbital with their tea
  • Get a colour wheel. Green & Yellow are not complimentary colours.
  • Centered text is annoying to read. Left align it. If the sides look empty, add pictures. Alternate on left and ride side of text to give the eye kinetic motion
  • Don't use serif fonts for blocks of text

Welcome Barry,

I do not like to rain on anybody's parade, but if something looks overhyped, it usually is.

I guess the easiest way to show this is using traffic data.

This is an estimation of the traffic data for localadlink.com

Google Trends for Websites: localadlink.com

As you can see they came out of nowhere about six months ago.

Here is the same graph adding in answers.com

Google Trends for Websites: localadlink.com,answers.com

localadlink.com is the blue line flat on the bottom.

Adding in about.com

Google Trends for Websites: localadlink.com,answers.com,about.com

and craigslist.org

Google Trends for Websites: localadlink.com,answers.com,about.com,craigslist.o rg

and finally adding in yahoo.com

Google Trends for Websites: localadlink.com,answers.com,about.com,craigslist.o rg,yahoo.com

I hope you can see that we do not need to add in the biggest gorilla in order to show that localadlink.com is way out of its league.

In order for their business model to be useful to advertisers they would have to have traffic.

Do they charge a fee to work for them?

Go to marketingsherpa.com buy their pdf book on landing page design, also pick up a book called "dont make me think" from amazon and read them both. Then look at your landing page and see what you think.

In terms of the MLM business model, I'm never a fan.

It's a great start if that's your first page.

As someone mentioned when people need to write a long hype page it normally is just that HYPE especially on the internet where the ratio of useful stuff to useful is about 1 in a thousand.

Keep looking around, reading and asking questions you'll find some good stuff to try out
