Default Paradise Emporium

Hi Everyone,

I have introduced myself in the before named section, but was interested for people who might read this thread to take a look at my site for consideration to join our affiliate program which we are in the final stages of launching with clix galore. We sell luxury fragrance, skincare, cosmetics, bags, candles. We stock over 2500 items and over 96 prestigious brands. We are more than happy to customise banners for people and receive constructive feedback from members.

We will be offering 10% commission to affiliates with a view to introduce a 2nd tier commission program for increased sales. Our site http://www.paradiseemporium.com.au has been operating for 1 year and our bricks and mortar store in Sydney has been operating for 30 years. Our delivery charges are changing to NSW $10, VIC & QLD $12, SA & WA $15 with a view to reducing these further.

Cheers for now!!!!!

Welcome.

I cannot see your new program on ClixGalore. Have you conducted a test purchase yet?

A second-tier commission is far less important to an affiliate than a data feed, volume bonus, and good banner creative in that order.

There are many different requirements for banner sizes but for us, 300x250 and 160x600 (non-animated) are preferred.

Hi Newbie

Fabulous Feedback, thanks so much! I haven't done the test purchase yet, we are still preparing our back end for the various discounts and commission that have to be inplemented. As a non tech person I didn't realise how complex this is. Soooo that is on its way!!!

Will definately create those banner sizes and work on created. What kind of volume offer do you think would be attractive? My thought is to start with the 10% on sales excluding shipping and see how it goes. What do you think?

Have your webguy/webgal check to make sure the commissionable amount you are passing to ClixGalore from your shopping cart is the EX-GST figure EXCLUDING shipping.

(You pay GST when you pre-pay commission so you should not pay it twice - when ClixGalore pays affiliates they add the GST-inclusive amount back in so it all works out).

10% is an attractive commission for your genre, The Perfume Connection pays 10%, the others start off slightly less but offer incremental bonuses for volume sales.

If the margin is available to you then a 10% starting point with, say, an increase to 12% for sales in excess of $1000 in a month would make you perhaps the most popular Australian vendor in your segment on CG. You can program this so that the incremental bonus level is re-set at the start of every month so that the sales level has to be re-achieved before the higher commission is paid.

A data feed is the most important part of your plan, at least it is for us anyway. The best approach is to provide an XML file served live from your database. We would be happy to provide assistance to your webguy/webgal with this if they need it.

Hi Newbie

How are you? I just wanted to check in with you regarding this post.

On CG, I set a percentage amount for each sale, is it assumed that this amount is excluding GST and freight or is there somewhere else in CG that I need to set this? Also do you know how or is it obvious on CG to re-set the incremental bonus amount?

Cheers and thanks
Marnie

You are welcome, Marnie. I am well and thank you for asking.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

On the left hand menu of your merchant control panel, select:

Sales Target Incentive, Recurring, Bonus Commission >> Set Sales targets and Incentive Scheme and follow the prompts.

You only need to enter your choices into the first two columns, you can ignore the "And / Or Pay A Bonus Of" column.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The percentage you set on CG is exclusive of GST and Freight. (You have to make sure your web guy/gal passes the ex-gst and freight-exclusive amount to CG from your shopping cart when a sale is made).

When you add funds to your account, you are charged GST on the way in. When CG pays affiliates at the end of the month the GST amount is added back on.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Here are some of our own "program settings" in case you find them useful.
