Default Free Logo Design for Affiliate Marketers - Check it out!

Hey Guys and Girls!

I'm new to this site - so thanks for taking the time to read this post.

We're getting ready to launch our www.LogoMonsters.net site under our clickbank affiliate program and looking to recruit some affiliate geniuses to help kick start our project.

Of course affiliate marketing is all about helping each other out, and for a limited number of enquiring minds we will design a logo for you in exchange for spreading word of our imminent launch next week.

Contact me asap at webmaster@logomonsters.net to get some dialog happening.

Thanks heaps - hope to see a bunch of you at the launch!

Hi Rachel,

Welcome, and good offer to start off with, will get a few runs under the belt for you, even if you're giving away.

I think it's something you'll find in demand, the only prob being you'll be after a lot of smaller value sales to make a living.

One thing, I clicked on your site and was taken to Twitter, asking me to join up first???? Do you have an actual site?

Good luck with it,

Craig

Hey Craig,

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure if I was circumventing any of the guidelines and policies announcing our site like that, so I just gave it a shot to see how it went.

Thanks for your support, but if i could ask another question, what is the best way in your opinion, to recruit clickbank marketers to launch this project through the roof?

Also, for other marketers reading this post, what kind of percentage/dollar figure would you expect to make from selling a professional design service like ours before considering adding it to your portfolio of products? Keep in mind our price will be amongst the most competitive in the industry, so it should be a relatively easy push for even the most inexperienced of marketers.

As for our site, we haven't indexed the actually site as yet - just putting in the final touches before launching hopefully next week.

Thanks again for your support,

Rachel L.

Hi Rachel,

"Also, for other marketers reading this post, what kind of percentage/dollar figure would you expect to make from selling a professional design service like ours before considering adding it to your portfolio of products?"

Due to the nature of the products in the Clickbank marketplace, commission expectations are generally pretty high and need to be between 50 - and 75% just to be competitive.. The assumption is - Low merchant cost = high affiliate commission.

If I recall correctly, a lot of the advice I read about selecting the "best programs on Clickbank" to promote was by paying a lot of attention to Gravity Stats (weighted unique affiliates receiving commission or something like that) and % Referred Stats.

You should get the figures beginning to tick over just from affiliates who can use your product, especially if they like the freebie design - after all who needs to keep creating new logos more than affiliates?

Is it a logo generator software product? Or membership site to use tools online to create custom logos? I know you said "selling a professional design service" which leads me to suspect it is neither of these. This leads me to ask why/ how did you decide Clickbank? It is exclusively for digital downloadable products isn't it ? I haven't seen design services that were not "in a box" in the marketplace - admittedly I have not had a good look around for some time. How can you have agreed to meet with Clickbank's returns policy (and I assume product restrictions) when you will have provided a "professional design service" and risk being forced to provide a refund with the only criteria for the refund being that it falls within 60 days of purchase?

Oh man - damn I just spent all this time replying (because I spent 4 hours tonight creating a banner and logo for a new site I'm still not all that pleased with and thought why not try your service) and have now convinced myself something is wrong here.

"As for our site, we haven't indexed the actually site as yet - just putting in the final touches before launching hopefully next week."

It is very odd that you are about to launch any affiliate program and your site has not yet been uploaded much less indexed.

Is this your way of generating a 'list" of affiliate marketers; to target future affiliate/make money online/work from home products to, or just your logo design? Or is insomnia making me paranoid this morning?

Regards, Robyn

PS. I just found a design service on Clickbank that uses banner templates, x-sitepro and wordpress templates/themes. Grav .039 and a Business Branding - Do It Yourself Logo Ebook - Grav .088

Hi again,

I could be wrong, but most of our sites are consumer-focused meaning the opportunity to promote a B2B service would be quite limited.

I'm wondering what type of sites you're targeting as potential affiliates.

As Robyn mentioned, you'd probably find that % comms expectation would be high.

Are you planning to launch on Clix, DGM or Commission Monster (hey, another monster)

Interested to find out your plans.

Craig

WOW! thanks for the super fast responses guys...

I'm going to address Craig's and Robyn's points in the one reply, so hopefully you don't get too lost in my mumblings...

ROBYN:

We're hoping to make some noise amongst affiliate circles at the beginning, so you're exactly right. Affiliates are constantly creating new sites and what better way to build relationships than to offer them a valuable service like ours.

Our product is essentially a once-off membership to our design-service site. It's not a software product or use of logo creating applications online - it's real customized service.

We chose clickbank because of it's reach in the affiliate community. To my knowledge it's one of the bigger programs available so we just went for 'bigger is better' in this case. Of course the refund within 8 weeks is certainly an issue, but if any customer is happy with their designs and actually choose to use them, they certainly won't be requesting refunds. That, and our membership is unique, in that it will always be better to hold on to their subscription just incase they require other projects later down the line. The service we are offering isn't only limited to the delivery of a single design. It's several - for the one price.

As for your banner, we'd be happy to come up with something for you if you'd like us to. Email me at webmaster@logomonsters.net and we can start some concepts.

I think I worded the next part incorrectly. I don't mean that's not indexed (by search engines etc) - I was just referring to the fact that we currently have a splash page up as we put the final touches on the site. This week we will hopefully launch. I know this doesn't give those curious out there a chance to really see what we're all about, but we don't want to launch until it's truly ready to go.

We're not offering affiliates this opportunity to pitch other products to, rather, we just want to cultivate relationships as this is our first real attempt at launching an affiliate product. If this product does result in profitable relationships with affiliate partners, then I don't see any reason why I wouldn't want to involve those same partners in future projects. But for the meantime, it's just logomonsters. One step at a time i guess.

CRAIG:

Might sound a little daft, but we're not actually targeting specific affiliate sites (yet)!

It might prove difficult if your sites are all customer-focused, but with many "customers" these days becoming entrepreneurs themselves, I believe there's certainly a market out there for our product. As I'm reading yours and Robyn's replies I'm starting to get the feeling this product might be more beneficial for affiliates than the customers themselves! If that's the case, then there will be more focus on our quality and turnaround time, as opposed to commission percentages. Like anything else in the affiliate industry, news of a great product that offers true value to affiliates themselves spreads like wildfire - so fingers crossed!

As for signing up to the other affiliate programs, is this a wise decision? I assume this would complicate some of the backend, not to mention circumventing the policies of many (if not all) of the programs in question. I realise this is the best way to get exposure across the board, but can I ask - how many merchants out there sign up to several programs? and has anyone ever been banned from a program because they were found out to be part of another?

thanks again guys, you've been a great help!

Hey Guys,

Haven't had a chance to update this post on account of the hectic holiday period.

We finally launched a few weeks back but have yet to receive any signups. We're not too worried at this stage, as the site is brand new, we are still building links and relationships, as well as this time of year being particularly slow.

My query is this:

If products only appear in the clickbank marketplace once they have a positive gravity (assuming, amongst other things, you've made a sale in the past 80 days), how will affiliates searching the clickbank database ever find you? Is it just luck?

Of course we probably need to advertise externally, but i'm still unsure as to the best place to advertise.

If anyone can reply with some insight into how we should go about promoting our site and product, it will be much appreciated.

Thanks again for taking the time to read this, wishing you all a prosperous year.

Hi Rachel

As mentioned in your other post your service interested me as an affiliate. I am a PPC affiliate marketer which means I tend to launch a larger number of sites and landing pages. To date, when I have needed a logo I have used a freelancer off elance.com or somewhere similar. So I think you have a market to sell to the affiliate space - as well as affiliates hopefully getting on board to sell for you.

I tend to agree with the above comments as well in regards to Clickbank. I don't do a lot with them but if someone asked me to describe them then I would call them the "e-book affiliate network with a larger number of spammy products than quality ones." So yes, I would not have expected to see a service that looks as promising as yours on there.

As for promoting.. well as your service may appeal to many affiliates for their own purpose why not participate on some of the most popular affiliate blogs out there. You can comment on posts with your service as your web page link. Or you could approach the blog owners about blogging about your service and they would use their affiliate link in the post. There are 100's of affiliate marketing blogs out there. Also, some of them use the ReviewMe service which is where you literally pay them to blog about your service.

Good Luck
Cheers
Craig

Hey Guys and Gals!

Thanks for the advice speed_e, I'll definitely be getting contact with some of the more popular affiliate blogs shortly. In your opinion, which would you say would be the best to hit, first up? (I guess if names or links aren't allowed, you could always PM me with the details?) You're right about the affiliates though, and their general propensity to launch sites. We've got a few go-getters on board now, and I sometimes wonder if they sleep at all?!? It's ok though, because we don't!

Jokes aside, the response has been absolutely fantastic! - so much so, that we'll probably have to hike the price up soon to better reflect the industry standard. It might actually make it more interesting for the affiliates out there to push, since there will be more in it for them.

As for Clickbank and their reputation for low quality e-products, all it takes is a few 'good' products to point the site in the right direction for the affiliates to give them another chance. If our product/services seem out of place in the sea of spammy rubbish, we'll happily take the lead if the affiliate community lets us.

Kind regards,

Rachel L.
Logo Monsters Team.
