Green / eco/ organic affiliates - searching...

I have just started my website www.earthwiselifewise.com.au and I am looking for green/sustainable/organic affiliates or affiliates with a community focus. Does anyone have any advice to offer or companies they recomend?

Did you mean you were looking for Merchants? If you're looking for affiliates, I couldn't see where you were a merchant on your site.

Assuming you are wanting to be an affiliate (sorry I'm I'm wrong), then maybe these people are worth looking into:

services for councils and NGOs - Neco the eco superstore

although they are not offering the model you are after.

I am very new at this, so I am easily confused, but I thought I was an Affiliate with my website promoting sustainable living, and the company selling its products was a Merchant.

I have been trawling the net looking for organic affiliate programs and can not find anything. It seems that Aussie affiliate programs are a long way behind US counterparts, am I right?

How successful is it to approach online companies that do not have an advertisied program and see if they want to start one with me?

You are an affiliate.

Approaching online merchants to set up individual relationships is not sustainable. Consider how much effort it would take to manage, account for and maintain those relationships once you get past 50 (past 10 even).

Organic-themed products are available but there are few merchants that attempt to own the segment.
