Default So Has The Australian Christmas Rush Arrived Online?

I'm not doing that much in Australia at the moment. The one merchant I am promoting has doubled in volume over November without any input from me at all. It is a seasonal (summer) type product as well as something that'll see the Christmas rise though...

So I'm wondering... is Santa ringing those affiliate tillbells for you guys?

UK trade for me has only started to get really strong in all my sectors in the last week with a few having started to rise at the start of October. UK sales have been very depressed by the credit crunch and dented consumer confidence.

Same deal here, or has Mr Rudd done a better job of things than our very own Mr Brown?

For us, it is weird, Kirsty. Waste of time trying to compare last year's numbers. On some sites traffic is down but revenue is up and on some sites traffic is up but revenue is down. Overall it looks like this Christmas will beat last Christmas but not by a country mile.

Same in both Hemispheres then Jim!

Traditionally, I'm quite even all year round. This year I've had my worst November ever. Some of my usual performers have smashed last years performance, others are MUCH worse.

Oddly though, I have this feeling that December is going to be the best one ever! The rush suddenly started a few days ago and since then its been very promising indeed.

Strange times, but with all the doom in gloom in the media it's hardly surprising.

I haven't really noticed an upswing in any of my localised campaigns yet.
That said, my CJ stuff is starting to spike, particularly for kitch things... Which I'm really surprised about. I would have thought that people would stop spending on useless and stupid things that look cute, and start buying more practical gifts this year.

I'm going to go ahead and say that there is definitely some sort of christmas rush, for credit cards at least.

I'm seeing good steady sales, however for some clients I'm seeing massive volume at this time of year. Really is niche dependent though.
