Upcoming Digital Marketing Events in 2009?!

Hi there,

I want to go to some digital marketing such as ad:tech. I´ve been looking for ages now but didn´t really find satisfactory information.

Does anyone know if there are some events coming up? Doesn´t matter where, it should be in Australia though

.

Both have at least one session about affiliate marketing which is one up on ad:tech

I think someone from DGM is speaking at this one.

Depends what you mean by 100% dedicated to Online Marketing.

There will be plenty about online marketing at these conferences and I think the retail one will have trade stands much like ad:tech. There are also special conferences for SEM and SEO but I think they are earlier in the year.

You might have to attend a few to cover all the topics/markets you work with.

What is it that you want that is missing?

Well I mean trade shows such as Ad:tech or OMD which we have in Germany.

I am mainly interested in Affiliate Marketing, Digital Marketing, Telemarketing and Direct Marketing. I am thinking about exhibiting in a tradeshow or at least visiting one where I can meet potential customers. I am not too much interested in congresses as I don´t think there is a big chance to make good business.

The retail one might suit you - they are having a separate entry for trade stands (free if you register now - ie cost of building a mailing list). As it's the first one, it is hard to know what to expect but I know some online retailers who are going. I think DGM, CM & clixgalore networks will probably have stands.

Other than that, ad:tech and cebit CeBIT Australia: #1 business exhibition for ICT industry are the only ones that I know of that have an emphasis on trade stands for online marketing services. Both Sydney, both next year.

Otherwise you might need to look at industry trade shows for any particular markets you are targetting.

Hi Michael

I am a fulltime affiliate marketer and I don't go to anything in Australia. All the companies I deal with are US based so I go to conferences over there.

Last one I went to was Ad:Tech San Francisco in April. Hoping to go to Affiliate Summit West (Vegas in Jan '10).

They're a great opportunity to network with other affiliates. Just make sure you are aware of all the parties the affiliate networks are throwing and mingle.
